As requested by South-West Hertfordshire RAYNET, 4 of our members volunteered their assistance to staff this event. The race was fully subscribed, and, despite chilly conditions for the runners, was uneventful. The picture shows runners leaving marshal point 10 on their way back towards the finish.
WEEKLY RADIO NET
The frequency used will be 144.650MHz.
Please note that our first training event of the year is at St Albans Fire Station!
This event took place in and around Ware Town centre, and as usual was well attended by residents. We were "eyes and ears" for St. John Ambulance, for what turned out to be a quiet evening. The picture shows the Samba Band that attends this event every year, entertaining the crowds with those Latin rhythms! This is our last scheduled event of the year, before all members take a well-earned break from RAYNET duties over Christmas and the New Year.
Please note we are back at Hatfield fire Station for this session - the topic will be "Incident Management".
Thanks to those members who volunteered to support the Ware Fireworks events - it seemed very popular this year, hopefully raising large amounts for charity, and was uneventful!
